2022 South Florida Policy Forum Cancer Moonshot 2.0: Advancing Early Detection Through Public Policy

Friday, December 2, 2022 - 9:00am to 11:00amEST
Virtual Event

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will host its annual South Florida policy forum on Friday, December 2, 2022. This event will bring together key leaders and decision makers in government, research and academia to discuss emerging oncology and health care policy issues that affect the physical and economic health of Americans.

Since the Cancer Moonshot initiative, the last decade has seen a surge in the development of new cancer treatments and the associated diagnostics that ensure practitioners and patients can identify the most appropriate treatments for a patient’s specific cancer. The reignition of the Cancer Moonshot will build on the robust and extensive work of the initial cancer moonshot investment in discovery, prioritizing increasing cancer screening rates, and addressing health disparities. This event will focus on patient access to increase cancer screening rates, with an emphasis on helping ensure that everyone in the United States equitably benefits from the tools available to prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer.
