Support Comprehensive Tobacco Control Policies

47,000 West Virginia kids alive today will  ultimately lose their lives prematurely from tobacco if nothing is done.

We can reduce West Virginia’s tobacco use by:

  • Investing in state tobacco prevention and cessation programs.
  • Increasing the tobacco tax by at least $1 and establish parity for other tobacco products.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive state-wide smoke-free policy

Together these strategies will prevent kids from starting a lifetime of addiction to tobacco, help current tobacco users quit, and create a healthier West Virginia.

I urge West Virginia lawmakers to support comprehensive tobacco control policies to reduce the toll of death and disease of tobacco use in West Virginia.
