Please support strong tobacco control legislation to protect the LGBTQ+ community

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) needs you to support strong tobacco control legislation that prohibits flavoring of tobacco products, raises the federal minimum age of sale for tobacco products to 21, restricts advertising of tobacco products like e-cigarettes, and increases funding for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Smoking and Health (OSH) for tobacco use prevention and cessation.

Taking these actions will improve and save the lives of millions of the LGBTQ+ community.

The tobacco industry heavily targets this community leading to much higher usage of tobacco products than the national average and causing an even greater burden of addiction, disease, and death from tobacco for the LGBTQ+ community. We are calling on Congress to act now! As your constituent, I am asking you to support ACS CAN endorsed federal tobacco control legislation.
