Make Montgomery Smoke-Free!

This year, secondhand smoke will cause more than 41,000 deaths nation-wide among nonsmokers and smoking remains the leading preventable cause of illness and death in Alabama. Despite this, there are still places in Montgomery that allow tobacco use indoors!

The evidence is clear:

  • There is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke.
  • Smoke-free laws reduce exposure and protect people from secondhand smoke.
  • Strong laws increase quitting among current smokers and reduce health care costs.

No one should have to choose between their health and a paycheck.

Thank you for showing your support for Smoke-Free Montgomery. We won’t rest until all Montgomery residents and visitors are protected from the harmful health effects of exposure to secondhand smoke.
