Louisiana Lung Policy Forum

Thursday, October 27, 2022 - 9:00amCST
Woman's Hospital Cancer Pavilion
500 Rue de la Vie
Baton Rouge, LA 70817

This event will bring together key leaders and decision makers in government, research, advocacy and academia to discuss emerging oncology and health care policy issues that affect the physical and economic health of Americans.

This year’s topic will feature an important conversation around lung cancer, which is the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women in the United States. ACS CAN works to reduce the impact of lung cancer by advocating for health insurance to facilitate access to cancer screenings, tobacco control best practices, such as passing comprehensive smoke-free policies at the local and state level, and access to biomarker testing so that lung cancer patients can have access to the most appropriate therapy.

ACS CAN is the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society and is the nation’s leading cancer advocacy organization working every day to make cancer priorities a state and national priority. ACS CAN is committed to ensuring that our progress on critical policy issues is achieved in collaboration with key partners. We invite you and your organization to join us in the fight against cancer by sponsoring the 2022 policy event.
